Finnair has extended its codeshare operation with Swedish regional airline BRA to cover new routes in Sweden. As of September 5, Finnair's AY code will be added to BRA's routes between Bromma in Stockholm and Trollhättan, Visby, Kalmar, Rönneby, Angelholm/Helsingborg, Växjö, Sundsvall, Halmstad and Åre/Östersund. In addition BRA's code will be added to the Umeå-Helsinki route, which BRA operates for Finnair. This cooperation expands Finnair's reach in Sweden, and connects these Swedish cities via Bromma airport in Stockholm to Finnair's extensive network, offering new connections to Finnair customers. Finnair offers smooth connections via its Helsinki hub to 17 Asian megacities and three North American destinations, as well as to approximately 70 European destinations. "We are excited about extending the cooperation with BRA, and offering new connections to and from Sweden, which is a key growth market for us", says Juha Järvinen, Chief Commercial Officer, Finnair. The flights with AY code are sold as of September 5, and the first travel date is September 15. Earlier this year Finnair entered into loyalty program cooperation with BRA, and in September, BRA will start operating Umeå-Helsinki route for Finnair. Finnair is also opening a new route to Västerås in Central Sweden, with a code share with NextJet.
