Hi - I want to book some short haul flights - one to Milan, another to FFM from CPH. it looks like there are plenty of normal tickets available on the flights - yet, only on my specific flights there are no bonus tickets anymore (the full week on all other tickets there are plenty of bonus tickets). now, the question: 1) is there a fixed contingent on bonus flights per flight? Once it’s full it’s gone? 2) if the flight has many free seats (non-bonus), is there a chance that they release additional bonus-tickets? 3) any specific timing when new tickets would be released (eg 3 days before flight) 4) anyone has a view on how likely last minute cancelations of bonus tickets (and therefor new releases) are now with the new penalty system? many thanks!
Some very good questions. Probably nobody here really knows all the answers. Personally I would not expect more bonus tickets to get released closer to the flight, when there are none now. I could be totally wrong of course and maybe somebody else here has more insight. Btw what is FFM? Frankfurt?
I am pretty sure this is some company secret that will not be revealed. And as far as I know, cancelled bonus tickets are not automatically being available as new bonus tickets, but end up as revenue tickets
The inner workings of ticketing are a mystery. But I have recently experienced that bonus seats open up closer to the departure date, so it is certainly a possibility. Of course, that is not always any help if you need to plan your travels well in advance.
